Genre Conventions
- Like most trailers for thriller movies, this trailer starts out innocently with nothing out of the ordinary. However, there is a sense from the start that something is not quite right and something bad is abut to happen.
- After about twenty five seconds, the production company logos are shown and after this is when everything starts to take a turn for the worst.
- The children being taken or people disappearing is a common theme in thriller movies.
- The fact that this is a dark movie is emphasised by the fact that they have used greyscale variations of the production company logos.
- Another generic convention of thriller movie trailers is the slow cutting between scenes with fades to black in between each scene.
- Like many other thriller trailers, this ends on a climax and a plot twist all in one as the people whose daughters were kidnaped have now become the kidnappers.
